Headquarters United States Marine Corps (HQMC) Warrior Athlete Readiness and Resilience-Semper Fit (WARR-SF) Branch is seeking athletes and coaches for the 2027 Military World Games teams. 2. Marines interested in participating in Military World Games are authorized to apply for both athlete and coaching positions. Marine coaches are required to be an E-6 or above. Civilians are authorized to apply for coaching positions only. Prospective coaches are encouraged to apply immediately. Prospective athletes are to apply no later than 1 December 2026. 3. All-Marine Sports will be accepting applications for the following sports: Men’s Baseball, Men’s and Women’s (M&W) Basketball, (M&W) Cycling/Mountain Biking, (M&W) Flag Football, (M&W) Soccer, (M&W) Golf, (M&W) Judo, (M&W) Lifesaving, (M&W) Modern Pentathlon, (M&W) Open Water Swimming, (M&W) Rugby, (M&W) Shooting, (M&W) Swimming, (M&W) Taekwondo, (M&W) Tennis, (M&W) Track and Field (M&W) Volleyball, (M&W) Wrestling. 4. Dates, locations, and the host Service for the Military World Games trial camps are forthcoming, and information is subject to change. Updates can be found on the Events Calendar on the Armed Forces Sports website at https://armedforcessports.defense.gov/. The Military World Games will run from 25 June – 4 July 2027 in multiple sporting venues across North Carolina and South Carolina. 5. HQMC WARR-SF in conjunction with Armed Forces Sports will cover all arrangements and costs related to billeting, transportation (including airfare and rental vehicles), entry fees, uniforms, equipment, and supplies. 6. All applicants are to receive approval from their commanding officer to participate. Commanding officers are strongly encouraged to endorse All-Marine Sports applications for those who demonstrate our Core Values and are expected to enhance the reputation of the USMC. Approved participants will be assigned Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) status, though commanders may contact HQMC Semper Fit to recall participants if necessary. 7. In addition to standard performance and skill testing events, applicants will provide proof of prior competitive experience in their respective sport (high school, collegiate, Olympic, etc.) along with any individual and team awards or recognition. 8. All athletes and coaches must demonstrate a level of competitive intensity and resolve that is commensurate with the esteemed traditions and reputation of the USMC. 9. Coaches are responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to: reviewing applications and selecting athletes and assistant coaches; offering guidance to prospective players and coaches on enhancing sport-specific skills or coaching abilities; organizing and attending the trial camp; coaching the team during the Military World Games; and providing an after-action report to HQMC WARR-SF. Additional responsibilities will be detailed upon selection. 10. This MARADMIN is applicable to active duty, active reserve, and activated reserve Marines. Reserve force Marines, excluding the Individual Ready Reserve, are eligible to participate on Military World Games teams but are to be placed on active-duty orders for operational support or a similar status by their command to participate and receive HQMC TAD travel funds. 11.
