Purpose. This message provides information regarding the Marine Corps birthday video, the Commandant’s writte6n birthday message, and recorded music to support ceremonies. 2. Commandant's 2026 Birthday Video. 2a. The Commandant's 2026 birthday video will be released no earlier than 1000 EST on 1 Nov 2026. The video will be available via the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS) at the following URL: https://www.dvidshub.net/feature/CMCBirthdayMessage251 2b. Units conducting their birthday ball celebrations prior to 1 Nov 2026 because of operational requirements or scheduling constraints may have their local Communication Strategy and Operations (COMMSTRAT) office download the video via SharePoint at the following URL: https://usmc.sharepoint-mil.us/sites/CD_BIRTHDAY. 2c. Individuals requiring the video for inclusion in birthday ball celebrations are encouraged to register for a DVIDS account prior to 1 Nov 2026 to ensure they can download the video for offline playback, rather than attempting to stream the video from DVIDS or social media platforms. 2d. Requests for copies of the video on disc should be directed to the nearest COMMSTRAT office, which will fulfill the request based on their own capacity and capability. 3. Recorded Music.
