The emerging and future operational requirements necessitate the Marine Corps to train and educate expeditionary logistics professionals capable of succeeding in such an environment. Marine logisticians must be adaptable, critical thinkers who can anticipate transitions to fight and win across contested domains. In coordination with Training and Education Command and Joint Logistics Enterprise stakeholders, we strive to provide valuable training and education opportunities across the logistics community. The Logistics Education Program (LEP) provides opportunities through educational institutions external to the Marine Corps with the purpose of broadening knowledge on joint, multi-national, and interagency logistics processes, practices, and technologies. 2. In accordance with the reference, Marine Corps Logistics Operations Group (MCLOG) is the Service level manager of select LEP courses. MCLOG oversees the Marine Corps' allocation of logistics training and education opportunities with other services and civilian/governmental agencies. Courses associated with the LEP provide unique opportunities to expand the knowledge base of logisticians across the Fleet Marine Force and supporting establishment. 3. Individual LEP courses are educational venues external to the Service that provide opportunities for logisticians to broaden their knowledge on joint, multinational, and interagency logistics processes, practices, and technologies. Due to the high interest in the LEP and the fact that the educational venues hosting LEP courses do not fall under the USMC, MCLOG must utilize a nomination process. 3.A. Nomination Process – Each of the LEP courses will have a calling message, complete with up-to-date information, released approximately (90) days prior to the course start on the first of the month via AMHS and posted on MCLOG SharePoint, available at: https:(slash)(slash)usmc.sharepoint-mil.us/sites/TECOM_MCLOG. Contact listed POCs if unable to navigate to LEP information. The nomination period will run for (30) days, ending on the first of the next month, approximately (60) days prior to the course start. NLT (15) days after the nomination period expires, both selected and non-selected Nominees will be notified by the LEP Registrar. Early nominations for courses that have not yet had a calling message released will be entertained. 3.B. The paragraphs below provide a summary of current LEP courses. Updates will occur at regular intervals via MARADMIN, AMHS, and MCLOG SharePoint. 4. Logistics Education Program offerings. 4.A. Logistics and Technology Advanced (LogTechAdv) course, Institute for Defense and Business (IDB), University of North Carolina (UNC) Chapel Hill, NC (CID: C48XJ22). 4.A.1. For experienced leaders in defense and business focused on people, processes, and policy. Gain skills in critical thinking, innovation, risk management, and data fluency to lead and sustain significant improvements in your organization. 4.A.2. This program is designed for officers in grades O-4 through O-6, CWO-4 through CWO-5, enlisted in the grade of E-9 and DoD civilians GS-13 through GS-15. The most highly qualified candidates are those serving in the operating forces at the MEF and major subordinate command level; currently assigned to a joint qualifying organization, and directly associated with operational and strategic level logistics planning. The course content focuses on enterprise, vice tactical level initiatives. 4.A.3. LogTechAdv tuition and billeting is centrally funded (CF) by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment (OASD) for a limited number of seats. Additional seats may be funded using unit funds (UF) at $9,000 per seat. Units are responsible for travel and per diem costs. 4.A.4.
