GENTEXT/RMKS/1. The purpose of this MARADMIN is to announce the
Irregular Warfare and Competition (IW/C) Lessons Learned SharePoint
topic pages. These topic pages have been created in collaboration
with the Marine Corps Center for Lessons Learned (MCCLL), Command
Data Analytics Office (CDAO), Training and Education Command
(TECOM); and the Ground Combat Element Division (GCED), Capabilities
Development Directorate, Combat Development and Integration (CD&I).
2. Background. As directed by the references, the Service is
required to incorporate IW-relevant Service lessons learned and best
practices into Service doctrine, education, training, and concepts.
Analyzing specific IW/C lessons learned across the doctrine,
organization, training, materiel, leadership and education,
personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P) areas allows the
Marine Corps to continuously learn and improve readiness and
accomplish assigned missions. To achieve this, MCCLL has developed
an IW/C topic page on its NIPRNET SharePoint site that consolidates
and allows easy access to all IW/C MCCLL unit after action reports,
topic discussion recommendations, and other relevant documents to
enable capability development across DOTmLPF-P. The MCCLL IW/C topic
page also contains links to other related topic pages such as those
established for Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom,
foreign humanitarian assistance missions and Information Environment
Operations. Additionally, GCED has developed an IW/C page that
contains directives, policies, and other guiding documents for force
development.
